Almandine-pyrope series garnets in graphite from the aptly-named Red Embers Mine (Two Fat Guys Mine), Erving, Franklin Co., Massachusetts, USA. They really do look like glowing red-hot embers when backlit. Also embedded in the matrix are small black dravite crystals (only visible under magnification). Specimen is 105mm across.
